The Vent

Lets just say there is a person "A". A went to a function at his relative's place. Now its a big family gathering with dinner and all so he meets many relatives while he's checking everything out.

A meets B. B is elder to A.

B asks, "What are u doing?"

B says, "That's not what I'm talking about. I mean what are you doing these days?"

A replies, "Oh that, well, nothing much...."

B cuts him short at that and says, "What! Nothing much? You must be doing something."

A says, "Ya, I am preparing for xyz tests while I have to wait for my placement for abc company."

"Oh ya, when is your date of joining?"

"Well he hasn't given a date of joining as of now."

Now A turns his head away with hope that this topic will be discontinued. Especially when B isn't A's parent.

B again pokes A, "So what happened about going to USA?"

"That, well i have just left the thought for now."

"Really? Now you're onto MBA here in India? Didn't you write entrance tests before?"

He goes on about how he must be serious about his future. And even goes to the extent of saying A is fickle minded, and that is why he isn't into anything now.

A turns his head to that and thinks [I can't write what A thought here, cuz if i did, i would have to mark this blog as an over 18 years of age - blog] :D

Almost everyone whom A meets asks him questions on the same lines and shows him unwanted, unnecessary and over the top pity which makes A mad. Not because he isn't doing anything, but because he is shown pity, as if he's lost his ability to reproduce recently, due to unnatural causes.

Now C meets A. I say C meets A, cuz A didn't really want to meet C.

C asks, "What are u doing?"

A says, "Eating dinner."

C says, "Ok. I mean at home what are u upto?"

A replies, "Nothing. Just blowing whichever way the wind blows."

And he smiles and gives the same pitiful look A hates.

Career Options

As kids, how many of us have thought to be this and that when we grow up. I used to think of so many things I could be. Some of those ideas were crazy. But today I don't see myself doing any of those things I thought I would be doing professionally. Why me? All the people I know aren’t really doing what they thought of.

Sailendra, he was damn sure he’d join Infosys and get some work experience which he thought would later help him get an MBA from a decent enough B-School. But now, he’s back from Infosys because he just couldn’t make the cut off by 0.5%. Everyone knows there are so many people in Infosys with much worse academics than him. But it had to happen to him. He’s ok with it though.

Harsha, he thought he would actually be doing his masters in some core subject and applied for EE (Electrical Engineering) but turns out, the only major he can take concerns networking which he doesn’t want to do. All the best man! Lolz.

Few others have changed their goal so many times that I don’t really know what their goal is now. Faheem and Riyaz, well, now they’ve settled for placements though they said something about an MBA then I heard something like “I don’t think I’ll leave the placement option” then I heard “MBA after I get experience”. Lolz.

And me? My oh my! I thought I’d become a pilot. Or may be a doctor. (Being a doctor or a pilot helps impress girls u know :D. I think it’s got something to do with the uniforms. Lolz) But I’m on my way to be neither. I’m as far away as possible from those things. Couldn’t be any further. Lolz.

Come to think of it, and I feel the people who really get to do what they want to be really lucky. They can really enjoy doing what they do.

We can learn to enjoy what we do though ;)

Attention!!!

I had been thinking for the past few days about what to write next as my latest blog post. Just then i realised i already had the topic for my post.

Why was i compelled to write? In a way I like being read by people. Supposed there hadn't been many people reading my posts, I wouldn't have written anything after my first post! I'm being frank... Think about it and don't know how many such instances come up in my head. People do lots of things just cuz other people notice them, right? Like celebrities throw parties and stuff so that they're in the lime light. I'm not saying it happens every time.. For some people its important to be successful in life, to make one's own place in the society and be known to everyone in their radius. Some people just do all sorts of mad things just for kicks... People dress up neat and tidy, trying to impress others. You turn one head and you get that kind of a satisfaction. No one's desperate, just that something inside us compels us to... There is something like this for each one of us. Each one of us is secretly trying to fall into someone's eyes. Sometimes our own..

Then I think, why is it that important? I mean, can't we all just wear something plain and simple and just go about our own business rather than trying to make heads turn, or trying to get noticed. I suppose its just human nature. Hell, it even happens in animals right. Animals have all sorts of talent expo to make a point.

So thats that. I know its kind of a boring post. :D Now that I've got your attention and some of your time (thanks for your time :) ), you can now go on to do what ever it is that you have to until i figure out what to write in my next post :P

Ciao

Back home :)

I went for a trip recently. Covered Chennai, Ooty, Kodaikanal and Bangalore. It was awesome. I think everyone should go somewhere or the other with friends. Even if its for 2 days. Gives u a break.

It even helps u understand ur friends better. Like I found out, one of my friends seems to  have a cold for like 24x7 throughout the year! Hehe. And anothe
r sweats in january in kodaikanal trying to convince us not to travel by road at night. Hehe. And another doesn't know tamil though its his mother tongue. Another gets superheated with anger just cuz we dont give him the camera. (Hey we dint give the camera cuz we wanted the camera to b
e safe in case u fell off the highest point in kodai. Isn't that fair now?) Another friend of mine gets angry for simple reasons... And some more things I can't really quote here. Lolz. I wouldn't want to give the names here, just cuz it doesn't matter for the readers. Also because they'd kill me. Lolz.

We had a few problems at the end of kodai, handled it p
retty well i must say. At the end of it all, it was a really really memorable trip. Enjoyed a lot.

Needless to say it was so picturesque. The above picture was taking with my stupid cell phone on the way. Can u believe that! You really have to be there to witness.

Perspective

Why is it that people are bad? Isn't everyone born the same?

Lets face it. People are born to fight. People fight for life, money, love, revenge, water, land and what not. Heck they even fight with themselves!!! I gave some thought to this fight thing. It turns out that it has got everything to do with perspective. All conflicts can be avoided if people just change the way they think of others.

Racism leads the way when it comes to conflicts, doesn't it? Why can't people see everyone else as just people? Is it that hard? The other day i witnessed someone ignore another person just because he was from another community. There's got to be a limit.

The other thing which caught my eye was about guys and gals moving around together. This I noticed mostly in Hyderabad. You see a bunch of girl
s and guys moving around in a mall on the road in a car or on a bike or somewhere, people are quick to point out "I dont know what they told at home before going out" or something like that. Lolzz.. Shit man, they're just going around the mall. For all you know they might just be family! Stop judging people by their appearance dude... Speaking of appearance people see a girl wearing western outfits no matter how decent it looks and say "look at the thing she's wearing!!" Lolz. Haven't you noticed anyone in a saree? A saree is more revealing than that jack ass. It makes me laugh! The other day I laughed at my friend :D Couldn't help it.

People stereotype others. Thats what they do. For instance, girls think all guys are dogs (in the literal sense) and guys think all girls are trouble (i mean big big trouble. Well some guys might argue that I need to put a stronger word there, but hey, I didn't find a good word. Not my fault) Everyone fails to notice, everyone's got his or her own individuality. Yeah there might be some similarities, but still they're two different people. No two people are alike.

Well I guess this post is getting a bit too long and a bit too boring too. Well I didn't know what to write!! People were commenting that I dont update my blog.... Thats why the boring topic. Hehe.

So I'll sign off saying its all in the way you see things
. Perspective.
